Farmer is one of the seven available jobs on Vulengate. It focuses on harvesting crops, picking flowers, and tending to animals.
It can be extremely useful as an early game job due to the availability of large public farms at Player Warps and Towns, and even into the late game can be an exceptional money making method with the right farm set-up.
Players who reach level 200 in the Farmer job are given a commemorative [Farmer] Tag for the accomplishment.
All job information is shown at level 1. The increase of income is by 0.1% of its value every level until level 200.

The first thing players will want to do when joining the farmer job is get a good hoe. The Voter's Fortunate Hoe from the Vote Crate is a great starting choice as it starts with fortune V, the second best fortune a hoe can have, as well as reforged III which makes durability less of a concern. If you're planning on farming pumpkins, melons or cocoa beans, an efficiency V or above diamond or netherite axe would be preferred as they're able to instantly break those crops. Nether wart farmers should prioritise obtaining a pair of Rollerskates from the 2022 Anniversary Crate as they come equipped with Soul Speed IV, one level above the vanilla max for optimized movement speed across farm platforms. For players interested in keeping resources from the job, the Simple Hoe from Dynasty Crate and the Undisclosed Hoe-st from the 2023 Anniversary Crates come equipped with Fortune VI to maximize drops.
Pumpkins, melons, and sugarcane all make great early farm choices. They're easily tile-able and due to their ability to regrow themselves without the need for replanting, they make the early levels of farmer very low maintenance before 1000 Herbalism is attained. As you progress through farmer levels, crops like carrots, potatoes and especially wheat become the optimal farming crop due to their high income and experience payout. Netherwart can also be a viable option due to the soul speed enchant allowing for super fast harvesting speeds on soul sand, and the fact the crop requires no water or lighting to grow, making creating large scale farms very easy. Some player warps provide large public farming spaces which can be helpful for gaining levels and mcMMO early on too, just remember to replant!
The herbalism mcMMO skill has a very important function within the farmer job. From herbalism 1000 and beyond, all crops broken will auto replant themselves, so long as their corresponding seed is present in your inventory. This makes harvesting massive farms much easier, as it essentially removes any need to manually plant seeds after a harvest.
The two most popular methods of gaining Herbalism xp quickly are through use of an automatic flower farm, or an azalea moss farm. Experience can also be gained by harvesting crops that don't require replanting such as sugarcane.
The steps to set up an automatic flower farm are as follows:
Place a dispensor with bonemeal facing upwards into a patch of 3x3 grass, this can be tiled horizontally.
Large scale wheat farms are the standard meta for farmer job. They provide fast, replenish-able income and give large amounts of farmer exp, making it easy to level up even through late game levels. Due to wheat's slightly larger hitbox compared to carrots and potatoes it's the preferred crop for this method, as it makes breaking 3 lines at a time much easier.
With a 5 layered 7x7 chunk wheat farm, the harvesting process becomes near infinite, with layer 1 being around 90% fully regrown after a 5th layer harvest. This infinite cycle can generate max level farmers around $450,000 an hour without any prep time or lost resources.
Layers should be built about 3 blocks apart to allow space for lighting on the lower layers. Bright light source blocks such as lanterns or glowstone should be evenly placed around to ensure all crops have the required light level to grow.
Key:
A standard tile-able wheat farm design. This design should be expanded to fit into a 7x7 chunk area before being layered for optimal results.
Despite being a primarily early game farm, pumpkins can still be a viable option for late game farmers due to their relatively simple harvesting method. They require no 3 line harvesting technique, just holding left or right into a slab wall and running forward to collect.
Key:
A standard tile-able pumpkin farm design. This design should be expanded to fit into a 7x7 chunk area before being layered for optimal results.
Due to nether wart's very simple growing requirements, it takes almost no time at all to make extremely large farms for it. Build a 7x7 chunk soul sand platform and plant nether wart on all the blocks. The platforms can be 2 blocks separated due to the lack of a light requirement, though 3 still may be desired for ease of access. Once platforms are built simply harvest the nether wart as you would wheat or any other crop, ensuring you have the soul speed enchantment on your boots for maximum speed. Nether wart does pay slightly less than other crops due to how accessible it is to farm in large quantities, though this can still be an extremely beneficial farm due to its flexibility.
