¶ Crates
Crates are a fundamental part of Vulengate. They're opened through use of a respective crate key and contain some of the most valuable items on the server. There are currently a total of 60 crates available on the server, with a new seasonal crate releasing monthly.
You can acquire Keys from Voting, completing Cluescrolls, participating in Server Events, winning them from the Black Market, or by purchasing them online or in-game. You can open them at /warp Crates, /warp OldCrates, or /warp Events.

¶ Vote Crate
The Vote Crate is the most accessible crate for new players. You can get 5 keys for this crate every single day by supporting the server on voting sites. Many of the items in this crate are geared towards helping new players get started, with a focus around basic gear, claim blocks, and crafting materials. The vote crate currently consists of 29 items.

¶ Wild Crate
The Wild Crate has a mixed variety theme and is the most frequently opened crate on the server. You can get a free key for this crate every single day through the use of /dailykey. They can also be obtained from Seasonal Crates, completing easy cluescrolls, as a rare reward from chat games, or as a drop from a Wild Fish. The contents of this crate get changed frequently, though most of the items are related to animals and early game gear. The Wild Crate currently consists of 39 items.

¶ Gladiator Crate
The Gladiator Crate is a combat themed crate, containing almost all Custom Enchants on the server, as well as late game gear. Gladiator Keys are most commonly obtained through killing bosses, though they can also be gotten as a reward from Normal cluescrolls, from the Vote and Wild Crates, and purchased from /vshop for 10 vote points.

¶ Rainbow Crate
The Rainbow Crate is an archive crate. Obtaining keys for this crate is difficult, as they are exceptionally rare. The most reliable way to obtain them is through /vshop, where they cost 50 vote points each. They can also be obtained as a rare reward from hard clue-scrolls, won from the Events Crate or given out to players participating in server events. This crate contains every single past Seasonal Crate key and is one of the best ways to obtain old keys, as well as a few cosmetics such as a morph, a tag, and wings.

¶ Old vote and wild crate
The original versions of the Wild Crate and Vote Crate are still visible on the server, though winning keys for them is impossible. These crates were released in April of 2018, and discontinued in August of the same year, later replaced by the current Wild Crate (August 2018) and the current Vote Crate (April 2019).
The Old Vote Crate contains the Kit VIP item, which provided two Wild Keys per day, and the Kit MVP item, which provided three Wild Keys per day. A player can no longer win these items, but players that previously redeemed the Kits continue to have access to these bonuses.
¶ Seasonal Crate
The Seasonal Crate is a limited time themed crate, each only lasting around a month. These crates and items are all usually based around their own concept or theme that change each time a new one is brought in. Keys for the current Seasonal Crate can be obtained by voting 15 times consecutively, won from the Wild, Vote, or Events crate, catching an ancient Seasonal Fish, or by participating in server events.
¶ Old Seasonal Crates
Despite being out of circulation, old Seasonal Crate keys are still opened on a frequent basis. Their availability through the Rainbow Crate, as well as being purchasable from /vshop makes them accessible to players. These old Seasonal Crates are located north of Spawn, beneath the dragon statue or by going to /warp OldCrates. Players will often make a priority out of saving up vote points to buy a certain key, hoping for a chance to win some of the extremely useful items.
¶ Lost Seasonal Crates
Past March 14th of 2018, all of Vulengate's original history was reset. This reset cleared the world data for Red and Blue which left 8 Seasonal Crates lost to time. The first crate was added in April of 2017 with the final crate being removed in March of 2018. Floral Crate became the first new era of Seasonal Crates in April of 2018.
