1. You are responsible for your own account.
- You will be punished for whatever rules your account breaks. Saying that someone else did something on your account will never be accepted as an excuse.
2. Use common sense.
- It would be impossible for us to list every possible wrongdoing in the rules. Use your sense of right and wrong to guide your actions on the server. You can still be punished for things that are not explicitly stated in the rules.
3. Using an alternate account to evade a punishment is NOT allowed.
- This also includes using different accounts or signs to evade an in-game mute.
- This also includes using different accounts (alts, friends' accounts, siblings' accounts) to evade a punishment.
4. Players are expected to contribute to a positive gaming environment.
- Any actions, language, or behavior that disrupt the positive atmosphere, including but not limited to, excessive negativity, trolling, or causing unnecessary conflict, are not allowed.
5. Attempting to circumvent rules or exploit gray areas in the rules for the purpose of causing disruption or harm to others is not acceptable.
- The spirit of the rules is as important as the letter of the rules.
Some of the chat rules are not as strict for non-public chat, but we still ask that you be respectful.
We do a lot of bug reports that involve public uploads of our console output that includes your non-public chat (we do try to redact some content) but we ask you just don't say anything that could be a risk factor to you or another player, such as sensitive or personal information or anything you don't want to be public knowledge.
6. Advertising is NOT allowed.
- Do not promote servers that are not part of the Vulengate Network in public chat or private messages. While we understand a slip of the tongue can happen during conversation, if this is done with malicious intent, the appropriate action will be taken.
- This includes posting external links in chat or making QR Codes via maps & the Artmap plugin.
7. Swearing is NOT allowed in public chat.
- Do not try to bypass the chat filter.
- If "cookie" was a filtered word (it isn't), some examples of bypasses for it would be "c o o k i e", "c00kie", "&4cookie", and "c****e". Do not use any of these methods (or other methods) to get filtered words into public chat.
- Swearing is allowed in private messages and party chats, as long as all players involved are okay with it (i.e. no private messaging random players with swear words or using swear words to target/harass other players in private messages/party chats).
- Acronyms such as “wtf” and “af” are permitted, but only if they are not directed at another player.
8. Bigotry/hate speech including but not limited to ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, and religion is NOT allowed.
- This especially includes slurs of any kind, regardless of where they are used. If you are found to be using a slur in any capacity, regardless of if it is in public or private chat, you will be punished accordingly.
9. Harassment and excessive trolling are NOT allowed.
- Respect other player's boundaries, leave their claims when asked, and do not intentionally make players uncomfortable in chat.
- Do not evade an /ignore or force separate such as via /mail, sign, etc.
- Do not cause any harmful trolling with server features; i.e: blocking a player's view/picking up items while hiding in disguise, faking server announcements with gpflags, etc.

10. Spamming and excessive use of capital letters is NOT allowed.

13. DDoS threats or threats of real life violence are NOT allowed.
- This includes threats that are just "jokes," they will be taken seriously.

15. Do not share personal information or social media.
- This includes your own and other player's selfies, full name, phone number, address, etc.
- Do not share your age if you are under 18 years old.
- This also includes any information or speculation relating to if or why a user may or may not have been punished on the server.
16. Using languages besides English in public chat is NOT allowed.
- For ease of moderation, please only use English in public chat.
- You are welcome to use other languages in Direct Messages (DMs) or in Party Chats.
17. Griefing, raiding and scamming are NOT allowed.
- This means you cannot steal from or destroy other player's work, EVEN if it is not claimed. You must also respect a player's area. If they ask you to leave or to not build right next to them, listen to them.
18. Cheating the AFK Kicker or using an AFK farm/grinder that requires no attention to the game and prevents you from being kicked (e.g. an AFK fish farm) is NOT allowed. We have the AFK Kicker for a reason, it isn't there to be pretty.
- Building an AFK pool violates this rule, because the entire purpose of an AFK pool is “Cheating the AFK Kicker”.
- This includes farms that use water or minecarts to push the player. Using water source blocks to provide faster movement (e.g. with Dolphin's Grace) is permitted as long as players must manually move.
19. Exploiting glitches/mistakes is NOT allowed.
- If you find something that can be exploited, report it to a staff member immediately. Using an exploit to benefit yourself will get you banned.
20. Offensive builds, usernames, and player skins are NOT allowed.
- This includes but is not limited to sexual, political or generally offensive usernames.
- This also includes /nick names for VIP users and above.
- This includes “historical” builds relating to inappropriate subjects or real world tragedies.
21. NSFW (Not Safe For Work) artwork and builds are NOT allowed.
- All content must be kept SFW (Safe For Work). If you have builds or MapArt/ArtMap pieces that are in violation of this rule, please delete them or modify them to be SFW.
- If staff members find content that violates this rule, we will contact you and provide time for adjustments. Failure to comply with staff request will result in the content being deleted by staff.
- If you are concerned about if something qualifies as NSFW or explicit, please open a #support ticket in the Discord server. In ambiguous cases, the staff team will discuss and make a collective decision.
- Please respect the discretion of staff members. We reserve the right to request you remove/alter pieces to comply with this rule.
22. Casino and gambling-based builds are NOT allowed.
- Casino and gambling builds cannot be built on the server, and all existing casino/gambling builds created after this rule came into effect on November 22nd, 2024 must be removed.
- If a build is found to violate this rule, a staff member will contact you to remove all gambling elements and give appropriate time to do so. Failure to comply with staff request will result in the necessary changes being made on your behalf.
- If you are concerned about if a build qualifies as a casino/gambling build, please open a #support ticket in the Discord server. In ambiguous cases, the staff team will discuss and make a collective decision.
- Please respect the discretion of staff members. We reserve the right to request you remove/alter pieces to comply with this rule.
23. Using AutoClickers, Macros or “a weight on your keyboard” is NOT allowed.
24. Cross server key / quest scroll trading is NOT allowed.
- You cannot pay on Server A to get a key / quest scroll on Server B.
- You cannot trade a key / quest scroll on Server A to get a key / quest scroll on Server B.
- You cannot buy or sell a key / quest scroll on Server A under the agreement that you will buy or sell a key / quest scroll on Server B in return. Expecting something in return, as an exchange, is still a trade.
25. Using an alternative account to gain an advantage over someone with only one account is not allowed.
- This includes having family members or friends log onto their account to drop keys, scrolls, AFK at farms, etc.
26. Selling other player's art (artmaps) without permission is not allowed. Users should refrain from creating art that may be offensive, inappropriate, or go against the family-friendly nature of the Minecraft community.
27. Lag inducing builds such as hopper grids, massive amounts of item frames, chests, huge redstone contraptions and chunk loaders are not allowed.
- As of April 30th 2025, there is a limit of 60 per type per chunk on the following items: Pistons + Sticky Pistons, Repeaters + Comparators, Hoppers, Observers
- If you have preexisting structures that exceed the limits, they will not be subject to removal UNLESS they contribute to noticeable server lag.
- If you break a component and try to replace it, the new limits will apply regardless of the age of the build.
- If there is a problem with your creation, a staff member may contact you to discuss it further.
- Building and/or using a chunk loader violates this rule, as they have the potential to lag the server.
28. Joining a boss fight uninvited is not allowed.
29. Abusing bosses (for example, fighting them in ways so they do not target you) is not allowed.
30. Selling Items for real money is not allowed.
- You can NOT exchange in-game money/items for real-life money/items.
- You can exchange in-game money/items for purchases on the Vulengate store.
31. Trolling players by abusing the Black Market plugin is not allowed.
- This includes purposefully abusing the anti-snipe feature to extend the auction to annoy other players bidding on items.
- This also includes bidding on items you openly do not want for the purpose of balance draining other players, or to uphold a perceived level of value to an item.
32. Lying to staff or intentionally wasting staff's time is not allowed.
- This includes false /reports and misusing /helpop for non staff related assistance.
- If you are found to have lied to staff in the past in an attempt to gain an advantage over other players, they will be far less likely to assist you with future requests. We're here to help, not be taken advantage of.
33. Admitting to breaking server rule(s), publicly or privately, may result in you facing the consequences for any rule(s) you have admitted to breaking, regardless of whether or not you actually broke them. There is no exception for joking, as there are only two possibilities:
- 1.) You have actually broken the rule
- 2.) You are "trolling" but necessitating a staff investigation and thus wasting staff time
34. Providing information that facilitates, encourages, or promotes the breaking of server rules, publicly or privately, will result in a permanent ban with no appeal.
35. Listing items on the Auction House that are not serious listings (i.e. advertisements, scam listings, or joke/troll items) is not permitted.
- This includes items that are listed for extremely high prices in order to “show off” the item, and items that are intentionally priced in such a way in the name of scamming a player into losing a large sum of money.
- Listings deemed by staff to violate this rule are subject to removal without notice.
36. Players are limited to a maximum of three advertisement signs on the spawn notice boards. As such, notice boards will be cleared weekly.
- This is in order to guarantee all players have access to placing signs on the notice board as needed. Signs found to be violating this rule are subject to removal without notice.
- Signs that are found to not be advertisements, such as signs simply reading ‘hi!’, may be subject to removal so as to allow space for other players to advertise.
37. Claimed Major Natural Resources = MNRs (End Portals, Pillager Outposts, Villages, Sea Temples, Nether Fortresses, Bastion Remnants, End Gateways, Ancient Cities, Trial Chambers) may forcibly be unclaimed under the conditions listed below:
- User has been inactive in the last 120 days and the MNR is in high demand, with no other available MNRs of the same type within the world border.
- User has been inactive in the last 60 days and owns more than one of a single type of MNR.
- User has been inactive in the last 30 days and has not made significant modifications to the structure/area of the MNR.
- User has claimed more than one of a single type of MNR and is not utilizing/selling them at reasonable prices.
- End Portals must be accessible by all users. If you decide to claim an End Portal, it is your responsibility to create an access point for all users who wish to find it using Eyes of Ender.
- End Gateways (leading to other islands in the End) must be accessible by all users. If you decide to claim an End Gateway, it is your responsibility to allow players to use it as intended.
- We will NOT remove your claim if the MNR is open for public use and is easily accessible by all users, even if you have been inactive for a long time. These rules are in place to prevent users from creating a monopoly with MNRs and limiting the number of players that have access to them.
38. Bases/Claims must be made 100 blocks away from other bases, and 200 blocks away from any town.
- This rule is enforced if any user reports someone who is within their area, in which case they will be asked to move.
- Everything on the main End Island must be of public use. If you wish to build a private farm, it must be a couple hundred blocks away from the main end island.
For the most part, any modifications that do not give you an advantage in gameplay are fine. For example, mods like Optifine and Armor HUD are perfectly fine. Gamma/FullBright is also acceptable, as it mimics the Glowing Custom Enchant. However, there are modifications to your game that are definitely not allowed. For a more comprehensive, nonexhaustive list of allowed and disallowed mods, please see here: Modifications
39. The use of a hacked client is NOT allowed.
40. X-ray mods and x-ray resource packs are NOT allowed.
41. Map mods are allowed, as long as they do not map out caves.
- Using map mods such as the Fair-Play Edition of Xaero's Minimap is the best way to ensure you aren't accidentally violating this rule, as they automatically have cave mapping disabled.
42. Mods that automate building in any way (including but not limited to: block placement and block selection) are NOT allowed.
- This includes running scripts to perform any actions without manual input.
- You are allowed to use the centre click option on holograms provided by Litematica to select the related block from your inventory. However, you may not use features such as EasyPlace.
These rules apply only to /warp Market. This is a summary, please read the full details on the Market page.
43. Your plot must have the required minimum amount of shops in stock.
- Pre-built and Small: 3 sell OR buy chests
- Medium: 8 sell chests

44. If your plot fails a sweep, you will receive a Market Warning. You will get 5 days to get sufficient chests in stock, or it will be removed.
45. Upon renting a plot, you must have sufficient items in stock within 5 days.
46. If your rent expires, you will have 3 days to rent it again before it's removed. If your plot is removed, staff will store your items and mail you.
47. Do not bypass the plot limit through alts or another player. No reselling plots.
- Merchant rank and higher can own either 1 Shop plot and 1 Art plot, OR 2 Art plots.
48. No NSFW. Anything inappropriate will be taken down without warning.
49. No griefing. If a plot has items but is unrented, tell staff so they can take it down.
50. If you are banned from someone's shop, do not bypass this through an alt or by asking someone else to buy for you. Doing so may result in a regular server punishment.
Vulengate's rules apply to all platforms, including both the Minecraft and Discord servers. Rules are subject to staff discretion regarding enforcement. Please be advised that these rules are subject to change at any time. Changes will be announced in the Discord's #changelog.
